I have found that this credit card can be used almost any where and that is why I carry it and use it. I also get reward points on it when I use it as a debit/credit card. I have stored up many points but have not used the points yet. I have never been any where that does not take this card. Great card.

I think this post shows the common misconception that VISA/MC has issued you a credit card. Banks issue the card (or other financial entity) and Visa is a membership association jointly owned by more than 6,000 member financial institutions in the United States. Trust me this can make or break you if you are looking for correct data. You could find information on a Chase card, and go down and get a GreenDot thinking it is the same, which the obviously are not.

Wow, yes you are right. Bank issued cards have associations with visa/mastercard and if you are researching information on visa/mastercard it may not apply exactly to your bank holder rules and regulations.

I was talking about visa but it was issued by my bank. I did apply for a visa a long time ago and the rules were very different than going thhrough my bank who is a partner/issuer of it. What are the differences of visa and American Express? Anything major?

The rewards for the visa check card through certain banks offer great rewards for users. I racked up over 20,000 points and I am getting ready to redeem them soon. You can get visa money, gift cards, i pods, tv's, lowes, and more. I love it.

Well, visa check card is used at all kinds of banks but only a few do rewards. I think that PNC which used to be National City has the rewards program.

This is they type of card that I use the most. Rewards are attached to the card but high redeeming points are needed for good rewards. I have had no problems with this card and find it has been accepted at most places that I go.
