My small business has some credit card debt that is currently unmanageable for us. We would like to negotiate lower interest rates with the card companies ( the dreaded Advanta, and Chase ) but have been told that they won't negotiate with us while we are making full and timely payments.
Do we really need to NOT pay at all for 2 months to get a better rate and "prove" we cannot make payments?
Should we make token ( $200 each? ) but timely payments and then call ?
