I heard Macy's stop using Visa/Mastercard as their own card and switched to American Express.

Why American Express? I thought that visa/mastercard is what every one has these days? I have been a card holder for over 13 years and never thought about an American Express.

American Express is getting really big and thus is starting to be accepted every where just like visa/mastercard. I think it is offereing different plans, interest rates, and rewards and that is why people are turning to it over others.

Yep, I heard that too. I am sure that did happen and not just a rumor. Does anyone know why for sure? Why would any company change to another credit user unless the incentives were great.

A new direction I guess. Think they're still with Visa until January 2011.

Direction? What is so great about American EXpress? Im sure it will be harder than ever to get approved for a credit card like that.

You may be right. Guess they want to be more on the luxury side.
